August 20, 2010 witness the crowning of eighth Pakistani Beauty, Annie Rupani, who won the title of Miss Pakistan World 2010 in Toronto, Canada.
Annie was nicknamed as ‘Ramadan Queen’ because of her crowning in the holy month of Ramadan. Besides, she also won the title of Miss Perfect Ten for the best physique in the pageant.
Annie Rupani had been working as an internee in Texas Governor’s office as well as United Nations. She is currently a student Ambassador at the Howard Thurman Center at Boston University. In addition to that she had been visiting previously an elementary school weekly to run their after school girls’ scout program.
Rupani along with her father established a charity Rupani Foundation that aims to help poor by giving them well paid employment in diamond polishing. Rupani Foundation has been very close to Miss Pakistan’s heart that was created by her father back in 2006 to help people in Northern Areas of Pakistani, particularly women. It began by opening gem cutting and polishing centers, where women are given training in how to cut and polish gems. Recently Rupani Foundation started other projects including, early child development initiatives and hydro electric power generation.
Annie Rupani while sharing her experiences with the Rupani Foundation said that she had been to the mountainous areas of Pakistan and spoke to the women whose lives were changing under those initiatives as they were given opportunities to work outside of the house. “I strongly believe in its values and approach to create a higher standard of living for all in Pakistan” said Miss Pakistan World 2010, Annie Rupani.

>Kareena Kapoor is all too bent on making her already strong relationship with Chhote Nawab even stronger. As such, Bebo is trying out Partner Yoga sessions with Saif Ali Khan which is believed to strengthen relationship between couples.
Kareena is into yoga with Payal Gidwani for over five years now. However, Saif is more into gym and has started with Yoga only a year ago. Till now, the two had been practicing it separately with their trainers, but now they are together doing a form of yoga called Yin Yang Yoga or Partner Yoga.
Manish Tiwari, who has been guiding the couple through Partner Yoga sessions for last few months, says, “The Cosmic Fusion Partner Yoga sessions are available for partners who wish to grow together spiritually, and explore patterns and goals within their relationship. These are tailor-made yoga sessions. And it enables in deepening a connection with your partner.”
“It enables in creating harmony and balance between a couple and increasing a greater understanding of one another therefore adding to the harmony of a relationship. Kareena and Saif practise for an hour and fifteen minutes. This form of yoga is tailor made for couples,” he adds.
Incidentally, Manish Tiwari is married to Bebo’s personal trainer Payal. As the couple leaves for the next schedule of ‘Agent Vonod’, Tiwari will accompany them to help them carry out their yoga sessions religiously.

Deepika Padukone, who is no more a newbie in the film industry, still finds herself tongue-tied whenever she happens to be with or come across the Bollywood badshah Shahrukh Khan.
“Just met SRK… and while he was talking, all I did was sit quiet and listen. This always happens to me! Every time I think I’m going to meet him and I have soo much to say… then one look at him and I blankout!! uuufffff!!” Deepika tweeted after meeting SRK.
SRK tweeted: “Met 3 beautiful women. Deepika, Kareena & Shahana. I get such warm wonderful hugs from them. Still smelling of youth, beauty & talent from hug.”
Deepika made her entry into Bollywood with SRK’s Om Shanti Om. Since then she has worked with a number of stars like Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, but her awe and admiration for King Khan, hasn’t waned yet.

A fuming Trisha quotes, ‘It’s very strange. I was shooting in Kodaikanal when this Telugu news channel put this news out. And they put a still of me and this very dear friend of mine who’s Afro-American. They assumed that this fashion-designer friend of mine was some drug peddler from Nigera.”
“I was angry. This is not just a harmless rumour. The first thing I did was to get my lawyer to issue statements to all the TV channels. I’ve taken legal action against the channel which put this out. There is not an element of truth in it. It’s strange where this story came from. I haven’t been to Hyderabad for a year now. I was told this peddler knows my number. But come on, everyone knows my number,” adds the actress.
However, taking the issue in a practical note, she said, “The only problem is you can’t pinpoint such a thing to any one source. But yes, it seems to have been done to tarnish my image. Luckily I’ve got a lot of support in Hyderabad even from the authorities.”

>Bollywood Gossip: She’s arrives at a five-star hotel coffee shop dressed casually in a pair of skin-fitting blue jeans and a matching blouse. Her curly hair and her large, forever-searching-for-something-brown-eyes give her the quality of a child-woman. Kangana Ranaut is an interesting mix of innocence and equanimity.
Life is currently “very good” to her. Her slate is choc-o-bloc. Post the super-success of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai for which she won accolades for her role as a yesteryear actress, it’s raining films and assorted roles in her backyard. Says Kangana, “I don’t think any other actress in Bollywood has as many films as I do.” But, hello, she is not being immodest.
In the next six months she has four films slated for the marquee. And unlike many actresses who are content to be typecast, Kangana is fortunate to have a wide array of roles to bite into. In October she’ll be in Sohail Maklai’s racy thriller Knockout with Sanjay Dutt and Irrfan Khan where she plays a journalist. Then there’s Tanu weds Manu where she plays a wannabe girl from small town Kanpur. But, of course, the high point of her career is producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Game where this 23-year-old plays an Interpol officer.
“It is by far the most difficult role I’ve attempted,” says Kangana. “It was challenging to prepare for this role of a British girl from London who is actually quite like a man in many ways,” she says. The reason why she found this role so hard to prepare for is because she had no reference point of a girl who has stayed in London and speaks with a Brit accent. Having said that, the mountain beauty drops a bomb. She confesses that she has seen precisely sexi-seven Hollywood films in her entire life, and around 25 odd Bollywood films.
“So it wasn’t as if I knew a lot about FBI agents or CIA officials,” she points out. “And officers on special duty in our Hindi cinema are very different from their foreign counterparts. Abhinay Deo, the director of Game, helped me a lot by breaking the role down for me so I could interpret it correctly.”
Kangana says Excel Entertainment (Ritesh and Farhan) were actually toying with the idea of getting a guy for this role. “However, they felt that a guy chasing a guy thing didn’t have that much of a novelty, so they changed it and I’m fortunate that they got me to do the role instead. I had to make sure that I got the body language perfect. There is nothing romantic or sensual about this Interpol officer. Yet my director didn’t want to go overboard with the stiffness and appear like too masculine. Believe me, it was a challenge. And Game is a film that I just enjoyed preparing for. It’s a never-been-seen before character as far as Bollywood goes.”
It doesn’t stop there. While her contemporaries are falling over each other trying to grab films, Kangana‘s booked way for the next year having signed on Priyadarshan’s Hindi adaptation of the Bullet Train; Indra Kumar’s comedy Double Dhamaal; David Dhawan’s Rascals; and, a film with debutant Chiraag Paswan. “Then I have been reading scripts and considering a few more projects. But now dates are an issue because I have signed on a lot of films and all are good,” she shrugs. What does one say? Get ready for a Kangana Ranaut film festival. For her the game has just begun.

Featured on the cover of the September 10 issue of the publication, Jeff Mirandapops the question to Snooki with the headline “Will You Marry Me?”

With a body like that, how can she resist?

“I want us to be together forever,” he says. “I could see us having children. I want to pop the question to her. If we got married we would be the best parents around. She’s so loving and puts everyone else before her self. She’ll be a great mother.”

He says Snooki may be shocked by his magazine cover proposal (or the websites that report it weeks early) but he isn’t worried that she’ll say no.

“Once she deals with the shock I think they’ll say yes. I really do. In fact, I know she’ll say yes,” he says.  “I love her and want to be with her.”

“I will never, ever break her heart. She’s such a great girl. If people could just see us together they would think we’re a match made in heaven.”

“People think I’m using her for fame. But that’s bullsh!t.”

Having “proposed” on the cover of a magazine, why would anyone assume that? He seems nicer than that d-bag Emilio Masella, at least, though.
