Here are the lasses who are in the running of the remake of Satte Pe Satta. They are being considered for the part of the leading lady’s seven friends.
Minisha Lamba, Rimi Sen, Sonal Chauhan, Anjana Sukhani, Neha Sharma, Celina Jaitley.
As reported earlier, Amitabh Bachchan role will be essayed by Sanajy Dutt, while Bipasha Basu will play Ranjeeta’s role, it is still unclear whether Vidya Balan or Aishwarya Rai will play the role essayed by Hema Malini in the original.
A highly placed source who visited the Ashtavinayak office reveals that he saw Soham’s casting board with the names of the actress written on it.
He insists, “Vidya’s name was clearly written on the board opposite Sanjay Dutt’s name.”
Directed by Soham Shah’s next, the film is being co produced by Ashtavinayak and Sanjay Dutt. The board also had the names of Shreyas Talpade, Fardeen Khan and Zayed Khan for the part of the brothers.

There’s buzz about Bipasha Basu and beau John Abraham’s current state of affairs.
Though it is not the first time that there is speculation about their relationship hitting a rough patch, what lends credence to the rumours is the fact that the couple has not been spotted together in public for an extremely long time.
While Bips has been maintaining a low profile of late. John Abraham has been only making public appearances for events he endorses.
Signs of boredom
Says a source, “They have known each other for over eight years now. But their differences seem to be increasing over time.
There seems to be signs of boredom and things are heading for a dead end. Buzz doing the B-Town rounds is that the two don’t seem interested in each other.”

Adds the source, “Bipasha attended Hrithik Roshan’s recent birthday bash solo. She was keen that John accompany her but he preferred to skip it.
The duo has also been doing solo endorsements of late while other B-Town couples are being offered joint deals.”
Used to this
Bipasha however maintains, “I am used to this now. Both of us have been busy so we have not been seen in public. I was travelling for work and he’s been shooting for Vipul Shah’s film. All going good!”
But the source adds, “Both have been even busier earlier and have took time out for each other. This is no longer the case.”
In the past, there has been speculation about cracks in the John-Bips rishta…
When intimate pictures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Bipasha Basu did the rounds in 2007. The footballer had met Bips at the ‘Seven Wonders Of The World’ show in Lisbon, Portugal. The actress had claimed that those pictures were taken at an ‘opportune’ moment.
When B-Town was abuzz with the news that Saif Ali Khan, post his break-up with Rosa Catalono, had shown keen interest in Bips during the shoot of Race. He had also started gymming with her!

PS: Basu says of the girls in question, one’s a sister, the other a friend. But who’s buying it?
There is outrage over a snapshot Bipasha Basu posted on her micro-blogging site on Monday.
The actress displayed a picture of her feet with two young girls bending over to tie her shoelaces.
She wrote, “I need to learn to tie shoe laces ASAP! Embarassed that I can’t! No patience.. grrrrr! Promise I am not spoilt! Will learn soon, ” and tagged it with the picture.
This was followed by a barrage of comments about child labour.
Under fire, Bips hastily deleted the tweet but forgot to erase the picture as well. It was only later that the photo went missing from her micro-blogging site.
The picture posted on Twitter that got Bipasha in trouble
‘Sorry y’all!’
She later tweeted, “Well the people helping me in the pix are my friend and sister, who I help often with the same! So am sorry if it hurt anyone’s sentiments!”
But since when did Bips have such a small girl as her sister. She has two sisters who are grown-up ” Bijoyeeta is married with a kid while the other Bidisha is studying abroad.

What the Child Labour act says
Bipasha Basu could face serious charges. The Indian Child Labour act says law breakers could face one month to 12 months in jail. According to Article 24 of the Indian constitution, “No child below the age of 14 years shall be employed to work.”
Law breakers punishment (Section-14)
(1) Rs. 10, 000/- to Rs. 20, 000/- fine and
(2) One month to 12 month jail.
