>Katrina & Farah Gloat over ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’

Those of us who have seen ‘Tees Mar Khan’ have come out of the theaters with empty strips of aspirin. But the lack of luster on the film is not stopping the director from gloating over the USP of the movie: Katrina’s Sheila in ‘Sheila ki Jawani’. It seems like Farah Khan had planned to sell the film on Katrina’s slender mid-riff alone.

Being a veteran choreographer and the director of two blockbusters, surely Farah didn’t see much meat in husband Shirish Kunder’s script! Things people do for their spouses! Shah Rukh, who is known to have shown some poor script sense in the past (he said no to ‘Lagaan’, ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ and ‘3 Idiots’), took the right move by refusing to act and produce ‘Tees Mar Khan’. The Baadshah of Bollywood surely saw this coming!

With the film tanking critically and in mass appeal, Farah Khan is hogging the newsreels by talking about ‘Sheila ki Jawani’. She roped in Katrina to blabber about it as well. Katrina was heard telling everyone who cared to listen as to how uncomfortable she was in flaunting her navel. Apparently Katrina wanted a dupatta to cover her but Farah insisted that she go all the way. Giving credit where it is due, you’ve got to say that the song is the best thing about ‘Tees Mar Khan’. Christmas releases in the past have all done well. Aamir Khan had three consecutive biggies for Christmas in the last three years. Farah just couldn’t capitalize. Is SRK laughing away? We’ll never know!

Meanwhile Salman Khan took some royal digs at Katrina on the sets of ‘Bigg Boss 4’. Katrina was reduced to tears because the burly man really went overboard. But Katrina wouldn’t admit so. She feels that it was some simple leg-pulling, all done in good humor! Well Kats, you’re surely holding out olive branches, now thatRanbir Kapoor has gone elsewhere. Again!

The Bollywood the bad boy, Salman Khan, might not be too happy at award functions, but his super hit film Dabangg sure. Since the release of the film, the entire nation was swept off her feet with the famous “Munni Badnaam Hui. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s ‘Tere Do Nain Mast Mast’ also reached an agreement with both the young and old. In the recent Mirchi Music Awards 2010, Dabangg bags all major awards. The Mirchi Music Awards 2010 powered by Karbonn Mobiles was held at the Bandra Kurla Complex on Thursday.Munni was clearly overshadowed Sheila that night. “Munni Badnaam Hui” got the awards for Best Song and Best rating.Katrina’s navel and belly dancing show could not save the fate of Sheila. The Mirchi Music Awards 2010 was organized by the two most adorable of B-Town singers, Shaan and Sonu. We got a sneak peek into their fantastic sense of humor, not to mention their chemistry. They managed to pull off a Shah Rukh and Saif act in this musical evening. They made a dig at Akshay Kumar for his long list of flops of last year, the ever rising price of onions and of course the Common Wealth Game fiasco. There were performances by Usha Uthup, Bappi Lahiri and DJ Lloyd. House ofPatiala the cast, Akshay Kumar and Rishi Kapoor Anushka Sharma, was there to promote their film and glam quotient of the evening to add. Priyanka Chopra was the stage on fire with her performance. The star of the evening was none other than Munni.
