Hrithik Roshan is the costliest filmstar on TV, beats Sallu

Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan, who is making his television debut as a dance reality show judge, is the highest paid film star on small screen.

The shooting for “Just Dance” the dance reality show on Star Plus will start next month where the 37-year-old film star will judge contestants along with choreographers Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant.

Hrithik is looking forward to a successful inning on the small screen after his two previous films ‘Kites’ and ‘Guzaarish’ bombed at the box office. “Only after biggest failures come biggest success, ” Hrithik had said at the launch last month.

About reports that he is being paid approximately Rs 2 crore per episode, Hrithik had said, “I thought I am paid well.” But sources close to the actor claim that the Hrithik is indeed the highest paid actor on television.

“He gets Rs two crore per episode. Whereas Salman Khan shot for his last TV show only during the weekends and would wrap up two episodes in a single day and take home a pay packet of Rs 2.5 crore, ” sources said.

Sussanne (Hrithik) Roshan is launching her second interior design store called The Charcoal Project, on February 27. The 14, 000 sq ft store is the couple’s baby and Duggu been taking out time to be as involved as time permits.

Wide range

The store has a wide spectrum of products ranging from French antique furniture, home accessories, dinnerware, table linen, crockery, soft furnishings, installations, artifacts, and limited edition photo-art and accent pieces.

Special lines by designers like Abu Sandeep and Andrew Martin will be also available exclusively at the store. Susanne too will offer an exclusive line of fine furniture designed by her. It will also have statement pieces curated by the star wife.

It is learnt that products have been designed, manufactured or sourced from various parts of the world by Sussanne.

Some pieces are already been sold even before the opening. The huge store has two levels – a ground and a lower ground.

“The Charcoal Project is a one of its kind achievement and Sussanne hopes to bring the best in design and interiors across the country.”

Mrs Roshan says, “I found inspiration in the woods for The Charcoal Project.

When I visualize an empty space in its most grey state it appears lifeless, Charcoal that is almost black only radiates red when a spark is put to it, the process by which each project is given life is called The Charcoal Project.

My store aspires to influence all the victims of a curious mind, to stretch the concept of design to another level.

Bollywood Gossip: Having being successfully casted in nine Bollywood films during the past four years, Bollywood Actress Deepika Padukoneseems to be now looking forward to work with Bollywood Superstars Hrithik Roshan,Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.
 Deepika Padukone came to the Bollywood spotlight with the movie Om Shanti Om co-starring Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan and Arjun Rampal. She was later seen in various other movies sharing the silver screen with Bollywood Actors Akshay Kumar & Saif Ali Khan.
Caught in the whirlwind of two back to back releases Break Ke Baad and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, Deepika Padukone recently said in an interview “I am looking forward to working with Aamir, Salman and Hrithik as my next agenda.”
With five releases in 2010 alone, the 24-year-old model turned actress has her hands full and is quite happy with the films coming her way. “I am very happy with the films I am being offered. This year has been a classic example of mixture of films from different genres. I would like to continue this trend,” said Deepika, who began her year with psychological thriller Karthik Calling Karthik co-starring Farhan Akhtar and ended it with a patriotic period movie Khelein Hum…
Even though she is juggling different genres with ease at an early stage in her career, Deepika says the process she undergoes as an actor is same for every film.
“I am still in the process of getting into a character, living in it, trying to portray it well. Whether I do a Break Ke Baad or Om Shanti Om or KHJJS, the process for me is the same.”

Deepika, who has a some romantic comedies in her kitty including Bachna Ae Haseeno and the recent ‘Break Ke Baad’, says she enjoys acting in such films as she grew up watching movies of the kind.
“As an audience I have grown up watching romcoms and love stories like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, which had the typical opposing parents, rebellious children and so much drama. I like to star in such movies as an actor as well. I would love to have played Kajol’s role in DDLJ,” she added.
